Hey Beyonce! I've also been THINKING. However, I have not indulged in the spirits as of late. Well save for the Nooshdaroo I had at Tash. Oh that's a refreshing concoction of vodka, ginger Sekanjabin, lime, jalapeno and chopped cilantro. Like sipping on Summer. Mostly these days water is the my new wine. At least until Spring. But I digress. I think so much I wonder if it's cripples me. As many ideas or things I come up with I should be shipping more. Here's where I get stuck. I have a sense of urgency when it comes to pushing out my ideas. I get stuck because I want my ideas to be completely finished, packaged and ready for human consumption. NOW. Honestly folks I can make something everyday but I can't make everything right away. Why? Budget. Support. Time. Team. Kids. Life. You know. Just about everything. As maker and doer who whose lives by my own Make. Do. philosophy one would think I shouldn't be so concerned about any of those things. But I am. I've learned to slow down. Put pen to paper. Doodle. Record. Hit File. Press Save for Later. Actualizing on paper or screen offers some relief. I need the tangibility of it all. So do buyers and investors. I need to feel it to know my idea is real. Get it out my head. I love prototyping. I have many tools at my disposal. I can do this. I can get some of these things out and into human hands. WHAT 's UP WITH THIS NEW NEIGHBOR WELCOME KIT? My husband has been asking if I'm ready to meet with anyone regarding my New Neighbor Welcome Kit. (currently in research and development mode) My response: I need to add to my working wall. I need to survey. I need to do a competitor analysis. There's a process. I need to do this right. Some of this is fear. Some isn't. Yes. There is a process. I went to school and learned this process. Lost sleep, acquired bills and neck pain to understand this designthinkingish. However, this process is not the only process. I can tweak as I go. I can interject and add my own spin or flavor. I can solve problems in many different ways. I make do remember. So yesterday I decided to develop a prototype and video of the NEW NEIGHBOR KIT. I wanted to see what it will look like and how it will feel. More importantly I need to capture how it feels to my neighbors. I've been thinking Beyonce. I've also been making. Seshat
