OMC Fellowship Church of God in Christ Notes for November 24th, 2019:
Sunday School was on 2 Peter 1:1-15. Background Scriptures: 2 Peter 1
Some Sunday School Notes:
Often we put our faith in things that are uncertain.
Faith in Jesus is unshakeable.
God is undefeatable.
Grace is unfavored unearned undeserved merit.
What is in you is coming out.
He doesn't take anything from us.
We have to submit to Him.
Godliness is living by taking on the Attributes of God.
Every step we make the Lord is with us.
In the faith in God all things are possible.
The hope has to be in more than you.
There is nothing stronger than the Name of Jesus.
God will never walk away from us.
We can walk away from Him.
Word of the Day: Psalm 100
Some Sermon Notes:
The Law shows us no matter what, we fall short to God.
We can't do enough.
We are to be cheerful givers.
Offering is worshipping.
You give as a sacrificial worship.
God is a sustainer beyond understanding.
Tithing was not just money.
Everything belongs to God.
We offer in thanksgiving.
Salvation is freely given but it cost Jesus His Life.
Jesus bridged the gap on the cross.
The Preacher is the sin bearer.
He bears the needs of the people the Lord has given him.
Everything we do is in recognition of how good the Lord is.
We give in our accordance with our love for God.
There is a blessing in the giving.
The offering and tithe is given in the sacrifice of giving.
Don't give to God because He will give back.
He gives health and favor.
Give out of sincere appreciation.
Salem had no location.
Melchisedec is a reference to Jesus.
We follow the dictates of tithes under grace in reverence to victory that shouldn't have taken place for Abram.
The victories are for the glory of the Lord.
