*opens door to find the Brute inside.* ... *promptly turns and runs*
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The monster’s head snapped towards the door. His single eye narrowed with determination and hunger to terminate the being that dared to enter. As soon as he caught sight of who it was, he instantly barreled forward. The insolent fool left the door wide open, which gave him room to run.
The metallic sound of his metal creaking made itself known as he gained on Daniel. He would not be getting away this time. Hamstring blade readied, it was only mere seconds before his blade would gouge into the Englishman’s back.
As he fled the scene, Daniel listened for the sound of a door being broken, and his ears were met with nothing but roars and metal squeaks in succession.
He had forgotten to shut the door.
A quick glance behind revealed the monster giving chase. His head snapped back forward, focusing on his escape route as panic rose in his chest, his heart pumping blood hard beneath his ribcage. The man's eyes darted every which way, hoping to find any chance to lose the beast.
A branching route was just ahead, but the growls were right behind him - to slow down for an instant meant certain death.
With every chair, table, or candle stand they ran past, Daniel took a split second to overturn it, and obstruct the Brute's path. He snatched a goblet from a nearby table and threw it at the creature's face with all his might, before turning in the opposite direction and running down a side hallway.
