“I’ll be somewhere in the lighting department.” Asui gestures towards the back right of the store.

“Cool, I’ll come find you in a bit.”

They split up, and Hanta heads towards the painting department. He finds the section he needs almost immediately, and has to laugh when he sees one of the brands of painter’s tape. He grabs a few rolls and tosses them into his basket.

Asui is not especially easy to find, considering she’s shorter than the walls of the aisles, but he tracks her down after a few minutes of searching.

“Asui,” he says, grinning, “check it out.”

He holds out a pack of tape for her to read the label.

She laughs. It’s a little bit throaty. Cute, though. Huh. She doesn’t seem to laugh often, actually, despite her generally being in a pleasant mood, and he’s not sure he’s heard her laugh before.

“Frog Tape,” she reads aloud, smiling up at him. “Like us. That’s cute.”
