Before the release of the scripts, I wrote a 50k meta series on how the subtext of s4 is that John is suicidal and Sherlock has to return from the brink of death to save him (all within emp theory). I am so fucking proud and a little distressed for our beloved John to find out that that suicidal urge wasn't even subtext first time round!
