It does seriously bum me out that Batwin is a puppet ruler controlled by the Butterfly family, and literally no one seems to have taken this into account when analyzing Toffee's actions. Like. That's pretty important context, you know?

I'm so fucking angry about the "monster king".... It's such obvious bullshit. Monsters don't need a king to rule them all, and who will take that role isn't a battle for the soul of monsters.
And "Monster King" is canonically a Butterfly puppet position, and has been since Cresenta- Batwin was a puppet, and it's actually a massive red flag that the MHC liked him.
Seth was the only good monster leader we saw because he's the only one not eating out of the Butterfly family's hand.
