Today while I was out on my walk I witnessed the local #KeepFamiliesTogether protest along with the local usual pro-peace protest. Seeing people caring about what #ICE has been doing to people and the #separatedchildren in particular was truly heartening. While immigration is a hard topic here in the US, the level at which we as citizen are willing to let others be treated is #abysmal. Putting children in front of judges, and ripping them away from their families is heinous to say the least. I can only hope that the upcoming #midtermelections give us a chance to better balance out the level everything out and give us a chance to actually change things for the better. #humanrights #proimmigration #civilrights (at Mount Vernon, Washington)
