Cypher and Chamber.

Despite them being a fellow co-worker in the same division a.k.a the sentinels of the VALORANT Protocol, both of them couldn't be said to have a good relationship. Cypher was very skeptical towardsthe Frenchman. Chamber 'clean record' looked really fake in his eyes even though Chamber did contribute to the team by recommending Neon to Brimstone, working on the ALPHA-OMEGA teleporter, and being part of the strike team in Istanbul. Cypher still could sense that Chamber was hiding something from the VALORANT Protocol and it might cause trouble in the future for them.

Honestly speaking, Cypher couldn't help but silently judging Chamber while digging information about the said man, even when Chamber arrived at the protocol. Expensive fancy suit and customized weapon just screamed rich at Cypher, making him thinking that Chamber was a spoiled brat. The man worked as a marksman to a weapon designer in Kingdom Defense, moving from one place to another and seemingly fine in doing his work. Not weird for some people but this makes him think that Chamber was incompetent and had another motive, especially when it was Chamber himself who offer to join the VALORANT Protocol. As far as Cypher knew, only Viper and Killjoy willingly join the team where the rest were 'invited'. Both Viper and Killjoy were not suspicious as they were related to Brimstone, the leader and founder of the VALORANT Protocol.

But Chamber, everything about this man was suspicious and he was sure on his intuition that something was off about the man.

Chamber, on the other hand, also noticed the Moroccan 'off' behavior when meeting him at the headquarters. As someone who had worked with different kind of people, Chamber knew that Cypher was someone that he needed to be careful of.

Cypher was mysterious, always hiding every inch of his skin from other agents, even their own leader. This led him to believe that Cypher also had another intention when joining the team. Small private working space and thinking that certain brand of tea were expensive made Chamber thought that Cypher came from a poor family.

Those were just small examples of them constantly judging each other in silence, of course without never knowing the real truth.

One day, the truth shall rise and proof whether their judgements are true or not.

i know i said nanobomb is canon but also sentrywire has been a long time favorite and the two are now tied.

anyways here's my christmas present for my bf hehe

5 year age difference, Cypher is 30 while KJ is 25

Cypher was probably the most weary of Killjoy joining the valorant protocol, especially since they were quite similar in terms of their tech abilities

Killjoy was just happy to have someone who knew the technical stuff behind gadget making and the intricacies of it (brimstone doesnt know a lick of it and kj is just ‘meh’ trying to teach him about it)

Of course, cypher ends up being on the end of killjoys curiosity about what his own gadgets did and tags alongside him quickly

cypher doesnt talk much to her , merely answering in grunts and nods at whatever she says to get her to stop talking

‘almost like a dumb puppy’ he describes it but he never says it out loud

cypher then comes to realize shes quite smart and handy when it comes to her own work and he slowly begins to become more interested in the specs of her turrets and bots

kj is the first to realize her feelings are more than just “oh your a tech guy just like me, we should combine our stuff to make something cool”

she doesnt act on her feelings right away,, but ignoring them made it significantly harder to cover up

her only “cover up” was constantly bullying him about how his stuff was equivalent to a kindergarteners toy

cypher gives in and starts stealing her knick knacks as retaliation

stupidly enough, kj was the first to confess

cypher isnt so aware of his feelings so she just had to take the wheel eventually 

the confession was in killjoys workshop respectively 

they both agreed to work on their gadgets in close proximity and she nearly exploded in embarrassment

kj confesses in her native language and cypher doesnt speak it so he brushes it off

“Ich mag dich...” (im using google tl pls dont kill me)

“hm?”

“i said, Ich mag dich...”

“I dont speak german, im afraid.”

“I like you , you arsch mit ohren”

cypher doesnt register it at first

until he sees her blushing furiously and pulling down her iconic green beanie to cover her face

the feelings cypher buried away the time she joined the protocol til now begin to surface and he realizes finally

hes so fucking awkward about it and pulls down his hat as well to cover up a blush she cant even see

the two sit in silence for like 5 minutes until they finally recover
