        SHE SHOULD CHALK IT UP TO NERVES.  It’s only her first few days here, off her homeworld, with the Resistance -- she’s not comfortable here yet. And the people aren’t quite comfortable with her either. Still, feeling things, hearing disembodied voices? That’s not normal. The whispers start again just as she’s passed in a corridor and she turns quickly, almost expecting the passersby to be the ones speaking... but it’s only one woman, and the voices were definitely more than one.   ❝ Did -- can you hear that? ❞   she corrects herself mid course; they’re still whispering. Her heart’s racing.

                  he  slows  his  breath,  eyes  closed  &  seated  with  crossed  legs.  despite  his  attempts  to  clear  his  mind,  there’s  always  thoughts  that  seem  to  creep  their  way  in,  nipping  at  his  consciousness  as  he  tries  to  reach  for  something  more.  the  thrumming  of  life  he’s  gradually  become  more  &  more  aware  of,   the  tug  is  soft,  a  warmth  that  spreads  from  his  chest  to  the  tips  of  his  fingers.  for  a  moment,  it  seems  to  click,  pebbles  that  rise  from  the  ground  around  him  &  whizz  past  before  immediately  dropping  as  soon  as  he  opens  his  eyes,  concentration  broken.  

                a  kind  of  boyish  charm  that  lights  up  his  face,  grin  overtaking  features  as  he  looks  towards  the  other.    “    you  were  right,   it  worked  !!   ——did  you  see  that ??    i  did  that  !    “
