I literraly have the same hair haha even the color, I always put my hair in a pony tail and then depending on how much of the ends you want to dye is were I put the elastic and then I dye and then I put the baggy over it and leave it in over night..
I left it in for 2 hours or so. But apart from that, yes, I did exactly the same! (I'll do 2 tails next time I think. One on each side.) Dip dye is just a lot less hassle than the full thing xD

Yeahh it's a money box, one of my friends got it me for christmas a few years ago :D Yeah mine was awesome but I knocked it off my shelf not long after it had finished so I didnt get much time to appreicate it
