VoIP（Voice over Internet Protocol）プロバイダーのRebtelは、2006年のローンチ以降、2000万人のユーザー数を誇る著名な会社だが、このたび、新たなサービス「Sendly」の開始を発表した。相手がプリペイド式の携帯電話の利用者なら、家族や恋人に、簡単にお金が送金できるというものだ。

送金したい人は、相手の電話番号さえわかればよいという。 まず、送金したい人は、通信履歴の中から、送りたい相手の電話番号を選択する。 次に、送金したい金額を自由に設定して、送金の決定をおこなう。 すると、数秒の後には申請が受理され、emailで認証が送られてくるという流れ。

アプリ自体は無料だが、送金手数料として、送金金額の12%が徴収されるという収益システムになっている。
