Since it’s all but confirmed that Lute loved Adam, I think before, she was content with not being Adam’s lover, even him never knowing, because the way their relationship was by itself was good enough for her, as long as he’s still in her life. (but since he’s not anymore, she’s crashing tf out and honestly I would too)

So if you’re his S/O, even if you haven’t known him for as long as she has, all you’ve gotta do really is earn her trust (which doesn’t come easy for her) and respect, and yall are cool. If Adam really loves you (and she can tell) and you give it back in kind, then she likes you, because if you’re important to him then you’re important to her too.

See i definitely feel this, But I also feel like she would take you as a threat as well.

A threat for taking him away, Taking his time away, which limits how much she gets to see him.

But im the end she can not hate you, even as much as she wants too, she can't. She didnt take her chances in fear that it would ruin her friendship with him.

Like you coming to his office with lunch for the both of you and you even went out the way to bring her a meal too. Because you had been raised right and couldn't eat infront of someone, because you were taught if you eat everyone eats? Or the times you would include lute to certain things tou and Adam were doing. Course if it was serious date, you or him wouldn't have invited her. But doing things where groups were most common and you had invited her and a few other excorist to come?

And Yet the thought of seeing Adams utter devastation and heartbreak if he lost you, would be something she couldn't bare seeing. Especially if he started talking about proposing or even fathoming the possibility of having a family with you.

She indulges in pranks and generally rage-bait/annoy his family, especially LaToya, with him, just to run off giggling after that member crashes out. Y'know, harmless fun things that got on everybody else's last nerve a lil.

Just two gremlins at everybody else's expense (comically, tho). The type of friends who just look at each other (when the other is trying not to laugh), and both of them will burst out laughing because of some stupid joke they remember.

She's VERY unhelpful (of course, she knows how to be professional when need be) when she's allowed on set because she's a terrible influence on purpose. See, the reader knows when Michael is having a zoomie itch. It shows in the way he's moving when he has to be still. The problem is that she'll encourage him to run around by running around too. Bumping into him and pushes him a little to start his engine.

Anybody talking to him be damned. Like in that clip where Michael is running around when the director and Ola Ray are talking. Directors usually have to do the "Don't start with me, Michael-" which usually includes a finger pointed at Reader, his assistant, "you neither."

Everyone else on set is just watching this happen and is very tired. But one thing the reader does NOT play about is Michael's eating habits 'cause he sometimes just won't eat. She'll have a snack on hand at all times (usually a sandwich and orange juice) and will follow him around with it between takes/lunch break to make sure he eats something. His attitude about it be damned.

Maybe after Reader is being a little too pushy when it comes to food (on top of him already being irritated/overwhelmed), he snaps at her. Reader, who's a little hurt, snaps back. It's a back-and-forth thing until they eventually put a wall up.

A mini-argument causes them to act 'professionally' around each other for a whole two months before Michael can't take it anymore. Oh, she is his assistant in this. They talk before things are resolved (also a talk about boundaries and paying attention to health) before it's resolved.
