I totally had someone harass me on depop cause they wanted to buy my shoes but claimed they were not in excellent condition due to 3 small dirt spots on tip of shoe.... shoes are baby pink and made of suede...... i have noted that i wore a handful of times. Rest of the shoes look untouched even. This person claimed the dirt was scuffs. Scuffs are abrasions and tears in the shoe. Which the shoes do not have.
Im more than willing to negotiate pricing, most prices arent set prices, but set to negotiate. Prices that are firm will say so in product description. I invite people to make an offer usually, and this has been successful for me.
I will not entertain someone who comes into my inbox with this kind of attitude. Shop policies and reviews exist for a reason, and as a customer its up to you to do your own research. Questions about product and asking for more photos is something i will always be more than happy to provide. Claiming that my product isnt good enough for what is listed invites lowballing, and is a manipulation tactic. I will not give someone like that the opportunity to do business with me, as those types of people are looking to lowball and if you dont give them the price they want, it invites them to leave bad reviews. Those are not good customers.
Depop is my only form of income right now. It is not right to try and lowball someone when shipping is already included in price and i only want to make back most of what i spent. Which isnt unreasonable especially if they sat in my closet most of the time.
I reported but depop has found that there was nothing wrong with being harassed. Interesting.
