Throwback to that one time when the incredible @itsweinye drew me and made me look cool for once. I look like I;m'm in such a deep state of thought and I'm curious to what I was thinking at that time.  I have been pondering something hard all day. Social media. As a business person and creative, I get it and fall into the same pit. We post, try to get attention, try to build our influence and are so addicted to the self gratification that "likes" and "follows" give us. With all my businesses I've scoured across the internet trying to see what trends and strategies will help grow my circle. Truth is, the more I research this, the more tiring it is. I don't care for the fake bots to go around liking every posts and following and unfollowing people. Being on the receiving end of that is so $itty so why would I support it? So If I grow my influence or not, I'm going to try and be genuine. Before I watch some beasty documentaries on @wired, I just wanted to do some self reflection. This image is from a few years back in Haiti. I've been lucky enough to volunteer multiple times with @extollo_international. Through media I was able to help those in need and help better represent a beautiful non profit. At this time, I had no idea where I would be in the years to come. I constantly joke that in two years or even one, who knows what I'll be doing. This is so relevant. Today Piit28 Instagram challenge was really personal and got me thinking about myself and how things in my life are going and even though there are still changes I need to make and things I need to improve. I am nowhere near as bad as I use to be. I care about myself physically and mentally. I've learned that it's not wrong to be selfish and put your needs before someone else's. not saying that I've become a jerk because I haven't I've learned how far I can push my boundaries and then I have to say no. It's still a struggle but things are better and constantly improving because I refuse to be lazy. I refuse to revert back to someone that was beyond broken.
