self-interruption
i.
something peeks through
like tendrils of spring
persistent runners
replicating four inches further south
and here, too,
there is growing to be had
a difference in shade
or gentleness of wind
ii.
It's times of abundance
when it feels like flourishing
attention spans the gaps as needed
no trifle whelms
or roots itself
the steadiness of time
passing at a fixed rate
iii.
full
to bursting
splinters spinning restlessly
like they want to drill into
wherever they land
they never do
land
iv.
like a vine
I divide my
self
like a house
I gain nothing for it
