「 ✟ 」   ⋮   ＤＡＲＬＩＮＧ .   ⋮  ━━   The   little   darling   was   NO   stranger   to   the   studio's   operations.   Most   days   ...   things   were   hectic   and   tense;   workers   stressing   themselves   to   meet   the   big   man's   DEMANDS.   Perhaps   it   could   have   been   considered   nothing   short   of   a   MIRACLE   that   today   was   quiet.   Or   ...   perhaps   it   could   have   been   considered   a   CURSE   as   some   of   the   workers   were   in   the   very   least   traumatized   ...   or   even   INJURED   by   the   mess   Joey   caused.

                It   was   never   enough.   They   had   to   stay   at   the   TOP   of   the   industry   to   even   be   relevant   !   Of   course,   such   competition   was   to   be   expected   ...   that   was   the   very   price   of   SHOWBIZ   !   Even   then   ...   up   until   his   summoning,   Bendy   wasn't   USED   to   the   pressure.   No   one   in   Hell   wanted   to   be   a   star   !   He   was   the   outcast,   the   black   sheep   ...   yet   he   was   LOVED   for   it.   Now,   he   was   working   his   tail   off   JUST   to   keep   Joey   ...   just   to   keep   the studio   and   his   dying   glory   afloat   !

                But   ol'   Joey's   ideas   were   outrageous;   always   making   things   worse   and   worse   for   the   studio.   It   was   just   so   EXHAUSTING   to   even   deal   with   them   ...   to   deal   with   HIM   !   If   only   Henry   were   here   ...   Henry   would   KNOW   what   to   do   !

                Already   was   he   TIRED   from   handling   the   amusement   park   (   how   embarrassing   !   );   dripping   ink   and   fatigued   expression   upon   his   usually   cheery   face   to   show   such   weariness.   Such   a   workload,   the   fiasco   from   the   day   before,   and   the   PHYSICAL   PAIN   of   his   creator   NOT   BEING   THERE   was   enough   to   send   the   demon   in   a   bad   mood   and   SNAP   at   his   own   boss   ...

                ...   But   he   QUICKLY   regretted   it.

                Pie   cut   eyes   once   flaring   with   vexation   soon   fall   to   the   floor;   looking   away   from   the   man   in   deep   and   utter   SHAME.   That   was   right   ...   he   was   NOTHING   more   than   a   lowly   demon;   summoned   merely   for   Joey's   purposes.   He   wasn't   good   for   anything   else.   Any   words,   any   thoughts,   any   feelings,   any   PAIN,   ...   none   of   it   mattered.   Nothing   from   a   GOOD   -   FOR   -   NOTHING   demon   mattered.   It   was   best   to   keep   his   filthy   mouth   shut   !

                He   had   to   make   amends.   He   had   to   make   himself   useful.   THAT   WAS   ALL   HE   WAS   GOOD   FOR.

「 ✟ 」   ⋮   ＤＡＲＬＩＮＧ .   ⋮  ━━   JOE   DRAW   was   LUCKY   that   the   little   devil   heard   him   ...   especially   right   as   the   little   devil   was   JUST   about   to   take   a   bite   of   his   lunch.   The   demon   sits   there   in   his   hiding   place;   staring   back   and   forth   between   Joey's   door   and   the   man's   lunch.   What   would   win   ?   A   director   ?   Or   a   demon's   hunger   ?

                 There   is   a   pause.   Joey   Drew   is   left   for   an   AGONIZINGLY   long   time   in   his   office.   And   then   the   little   demon   RETURNS   with   the   lunch   in   hand.
