@sekhmetmp:
âWell shit,â Sekhmet huffs. She hadnât actually meant to set the otherâs plate of cookies on fire. It had just sort ofâŠhappened. âBut cooking alone doesnât do any good if you run into a bad bitch before you get to eat âem.â
âCan I get you something? To make it up to you? Since I accidentally burned your cookies.â The goddess doesnât actually seem too guilty about the incident. In fact, she would be just fine whether the woman were to get angry and stomp off or to take her up on her offer.
At least if she agrees it will be something to do.
Blair had been cooking since she was old enough to reach the stove and not burn her pigtails off. Her mother had always been too busy at the street stand and, wanting to do her part to help out, had taken it upon herself to pick up some basic culinary skills. After all those years, although she wasn't a genius, she dared to say that she was pretty good - Korean cuisine, Western roasts and the pretty desserts that her mother loved so much; she knew it all.
And so she was rather irked when the other woman had somehow burned her chocolate chip cookies. Blair sighed, pulling on her oven mitt to remove the tray and toss the blackened pieces into the trash. "For starters, you should buy me more ingredients," she grumbled, shaking her head, "And secondly, dinner would be much appreciated."
