🪄 Some animations just look... bad. There are a few solutions for this but I've chosen the simplest and most versatile - animation overrides! <insert magicky hand gestures here> Are you amazed? Yes, yes you are.

👽 This is an AnimXGenWear-adjacent project that was initially released to replace two standing idles that suffer from the smile shown below when the sky is awake and the mood is Fine because holy !@#$, does it look bad.

💬 You can thank @serawis for this releasing when it did. It wasn't a priority for me at the time. I had a scroll through a few of your Tumblrs following the positive response I got for the Deformer Map BUGFIX and I encountered the above post, inquired if it was still desired, et voila - a mod is born! I'll do more eventually, probably. I could literally replace everything with the cute Lovebug animation and have everyone just doing hand hearts for eternity <snickers sinisterly> but alas, maybe for my own game only.

🚧 This mod is a work-in-progress passion project. Included in this initial release is ONE (1) MANDATORY package and FIFTEEN (15) OPTIONAL animation set overrides for the Base Game. There are FOURTEEN (14) more animation sets for the Base Game. Additionally, there are a number of animation sets that are pack-specific. The goal is to modify every animation set that contains gendered animations and bring them to heel under AXGW. Modification and testing takes time and I always have more projects in the works, so new animation sets will be added sporadically.

💜 Works for TEENS and up. With this installed, your Clothing Preference trait will determine which gendered animations are used by your sim. A Female sim with Masculine Clothing Preference will use Masculine animations and a Male sim with Feminine Clothing Preference will use Feminine animations. This mod is also MOD-ULAR, meaning you can pick and choose which animation sets are affected. You'll find instructions for swapping your trait and Even More Information™ in the 🎁 Download & Discussions post linked above.

✒️ CAS is a mess. All of CAS is a mess. Every content release is a mess of wrong PartFlags that primarily affect transframe sims but also affect cisframe female and male sims. Ever noticed distortions on your clothing? That's cause you're wearing the wrong frame item because EAxis tagged it incorrectly or tagged something made with the male frame for female sims or vice versa because they couldn't be arsed to make two items.

🥂 This is the first major release under the new Endgame moniker. It feels good to be back. I will update all previous CAS Overrides but coming next is my initial release for AnimXGenWear and I'm hella excited!

👹 The Costume Box shipped with incompetent coding, locking some costumes to your Gender (Sex) or Clothing Preference. This is a problem for transframe sims and cisframe sims wanting to wear opposite frame costumes. This problem is exasperated by EAxis' continued use of improper Restrict Opposite Gender flags on TEEN+ clothing even after numerous Bug Reports.

Fixing the Costume Box does not fix the improper Restrict Opposite PartFlags on CAS items, which contributes to the incompetence of this thing. If you've got a transframe sim, you need this modfix + CAS Overrides for this to work properly. In the future I will include the necessary CAS Overrides and make this an all-in-one modfix.

Even with this update, there's still so much work to do to properly fix this travesty. "KEEP READING" to see more.

Short answer, YES!

You can unmerge the file with S4S and make any adjustments you'd like. Each of the 200+ individual files has my new filename format so it should be quite easy for you to find what you're looking for:

etc, et cetera.

You can also delete the merged file and keep the unmerged files or keep the merged file and only keep the unmerged files you've modified. My filename format keeps the individual files above the merged file, meaning the game will load the individual files first and show your adjustments over those contained in the merged file. It's up to you.

If you unmerge, you can safely delete "sej_CASOvrd_EP16.package". It is a hidden-from-everything CASPart used to keep track of my release/update version. I haven't decided if I'm going to include it in future merged packages.

What are you trying to accomplish? I just woke up so my brain isn't fully functioning. I ask for two reasons:

Because you already have access to all female-frame and male-frame clothing via the Fashion Choice filters. I've unrestricted all clothing because not all clothing items were made with female and male variants and sometimes the simmer might want something only available on the opposite frame. My sim is Male/Feminine Frame and has both female-frame outfits and male-frame outfits.

I can just upload an alternate file next time with the changes you're making so you don't have to go through all those files again, or if you don't mind making your own adjustments, I can upload the unmerged individual files in an archive. I intended to anyway.

As I'm waking up while typing this, I think I understand what you mean by "presentation" and maybe an easy example is how the Masculine Fashion Choice filter now shows skirts and dresses and you'd prefer them under the Feminine Fashion Choice filter?

I considered doing something with EP16 and future overrides, and it's using ROFrame on the items that have both female and male variants and flagging them for the appropriate "traditional" Fashion Choice. That way on a male sim, you'll see the dress or skirt under the Feminine Fashion Choice and I could leave Randomization enabled and it would be the frame-appropriate variant and you won't see both variants, and vice versa with female sims.

Honestly, if EAxis had made female and male variants for all clothing, I wouldn't have needed to remove ROFrame from all clothing and I might have kept the "traditional gender clothing" thing intact with the Fashion Choice filters. It's because EAxis has made such a mess of everything by not giving us both variants and by using inconsistent and incorrect PartFlags, specifically incorrect ROGender flags which block transframe sims from accessing the items, that I washed my hands completely of how they do things.
