What happened in Munich is so terrible and our hearts are with the families who have lost by a depressed young man their loved ones. As we sit here on the beach in Ibiza, absolutely carefree, next to us is drunk and spilled champagne, only several 1000 kilometers away humans try to survive. They try to have something to eat for themselves and their children next week. They try to protect their children as little as possible to see the atrocities that are happening right on their doorstep. Therefore my thoughts are with the people of Syria / Aleppo who are trapped in their own city, with no way out and without food and starved by their own regime. If no help comes, children are starving, people who have done no one any harm will die. They have the same dreams, desires and visiones like the people in Europe. We can not do so much, but what we can do is not to forget these people, to inform ourshelfes and don't pretend that these things that happen only a few thousand kilometers away from us don't concern us! We can use the privileges that we have and appreciate these..enough to eat, overflowing supermarkets, freedom, no dead family members, medical care, when we need them, a safe environment, nice home, holidays, a job...We can sympathize with these people, be friendly and courteous, if they are our new neighbors. We can get involved politically. We can think twice before we make based on prejudice an opinion. And we can be grateful for what we have!
