Well, this is new. A new camper, who doesn’t seem like they might have some stupid scheme up their sleeve or who isn’t overly enthusiastic about whatever dumb camp they signed up for? Max can hardly believe his eyes.

However, seeing this guy all alone and away from the camp is quite depressing, even for someone as pessimistic as Max. Is it possible that someone else is as miserable as he is here? That’s both oddly comforting and terrifying for the ten year old.

“Ugh. Hey, Matt, right?” Wow this is really rather baffling; is he actually feeling some kind of sympathy towards the other. No! That is not it. He is merely just finding out what’s up with this guy...or so he tells himself.

“...Aren’t you going to obsess over your registered camp activity like everyone else? As far as I know, you haven’t said a single word since you got here.”
