Often when photographers post sets on Tumblr, I get the impression that they couldn't choose the best photograph of a particular person/place/event, so they put them all forward. Â I find those tedious to look through. Â Your sets are different. Â Rather than repeating each other, the photos complement each other, building a web of connections that creates something much more powerful than the individual photos (which on their own are great). Fantastic work!
Thank you very much for the kind comment (and the follow).
It is what I am striving for with this blog : to be closer to a portfolio than random posts. To showcase both my pictures and my way of telling something with them. Even though the pictures aren’t often coming from specific projects (for which the narration would be more thought out), I try to have them “make sense” visually when put together.
I believe my interest for photojournalism but more certainly my training as a cameraman and video editor makes me appreciate series of photographs more than “one shots”.
