Daf Yomi Week 17: Erratapalooza. 

Shabbat Shalom! I hope everyone is faring well in quarantine. When I read this I went, “Wait….Moed….”

MOED IS LIKE A QUARTER OF THE TALMUD. But I mean, I guess dropping that little errata correction in the middle of Tractate Shabbat is easier than correcting it before find-and-replace existed. And Rabbi Yohanan has mostly shown up in Berakhot, so I guess he keeps his record as the Most Beautiful Rabbi. 

I can’t say that I’ve had many deep thoughts about this week’s reading. I mostly do the reading when I get up in the morning and I haven’t slept well this past week, so there are times it’s gone by in a bit of an insulated-pot blur. It hasn’t been difficult, per se, even though it hasn’t been very interesting, but it does slide out of the brain easily. 

Given right now we are roughly three months into a global pandemic, I kind of want to skip ahead to the sections on plague, of which I’m sure there are at least a couple if Berakhot was anything to go by. Still, that way lies chaos and nobody needs more chaos in their life right now.
