That's it. In this world full of bullshit, if I ever have kids (i probably won't) I will teach them the concept of Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism, Islam, Greek/Egyptian mythology, the various folk/tribal culture that existed before colonialism. Teach them the concept of Evolution, Paradigm Shift, Plato's Allegory of the Cave, read Michel Foucault to them before bedtime. On Sundays instead of church they will have history and philosophy lessons. And when they are old enough if they still CHOOSE to believe their is a man in the sky (why people refer to god as Father/He/Him even though he is not human is beyond me...) then so be it. But I refuse to put on blinders on my child like a horse đ´

We secularists have no need for love of any imaginary being, since there is a bounty of real things in the world to love, and to motivate us: peace, justice, freedom, learning, music, art, science, nature, love and health, for instance. Our advice: Eliminate the middleman, and love the good stuff that we know is real.

You know I think the reason why black atheists/secularists don't join the (incredibly white-centered) atheist movement is because we realize that white atheists still uphold all this systematically racist bullshit and yet they have built this whole culture around laughing at religious people for being traditionalists. My experience with white atheists has been that they are openly misogynistic or even MRA, tell stupid oppressive jokes, are transphobic, and in general spend a lot more time making fun of how stupid other people are instead of implementing programs and creating the community that religious groups have. If they aren't openly hateful then they're just apathetic. I've just noticed that even the shittiest activists don't associate themselves with that movement lol! imo. What do y'all think?
