Last Sunday the Los Angeles times had an 11 page calendar section on the Chicano Movement of the 70’s. In 2017 I saw an art exhibit about Salazar, & his story at the Autry Museum with my Dad. I was amazed at the images that I saw and I asked my father what did he do during that time? I had forgotten that our family lived in Australia in the 70s. We were not even here in America. My parents never pointed out racism to me, & I believe this is how I grew up without any racial insecurities as to who I was or anyone or anything trying to prohibit me in anyway.
