#second story window

We weren’t home but, luckily, our neighbor saw it happen.

When I got home from work a couple hours later there was a note on the gate.

He was laying on the porch, pretty freaked out — and the beagle had been at the door, howling and carrying on, knowing he’d vanished and was somehow outside while she was in — but was walking okay other than a little limp.  I guess once the adrenalin wore off and he felt safe, though, the pain got worse cuz a few hours later he couldn’t stand up. :(  We took him in to the emergency vet and he’s on strict kennel rest for 2 weeks with some strong pain killers.  We’re watching his front right wrist — a break is possible but not easily settable so they want to see how he does before they start talking surgery.  (Which, frankly, we can’t afford)

So….

Anyhow…

Thank GODS for good neighbors.  Can you imagine, though, how they guy and his dog who were walking by felt when a 120 lb Rottweiler came flying out a second story window at them?
