I've kind of been thinking of starting a sort of companion fic-thing to Second Conquest - it would basically be my Valyrian cultural headcanons and how they contrast with 7 Kingdoms norms.
So an example would be Valyrian rules for the succession of heads of dragonriding families or marriage customs or adultery laws or things like that.
Would anyone be interested in read something along those lines? I would probably write it in the format of some sort of history book.

Alicent V was looking like a normal(ish) length chapter until she started stressing about the seating arrangements.
So as much as I wanted these next two chapters paired, I think you will be getting the extra long Alicent chapter tomorrow and then the corresponding (also extra long though for different reasons) Rhaenyra chapter next weekend.

Q: So how's Second Conquest going, Dolphin?
A: It's going. I wrote a version of Rhaenyra XVIII today, but tbh, I really don't like it. The voice just feels off, and not consistent with how I write Rhaenyra. So I'm going to re-write it. Which means another week's delay. Alas.
In other news, there is a non-zero chance for some sort of weird one-shot called "Daemon the Terrible" featuring Daemon taking out everyone in his way. Everyone. As reconstructed by a maester looking at several very biased sources.
The next Aemond series is ready to be written, but I want to get the Second Conquest ball rolling once more before I start it. My best guess is that once I get it started it will be an every other weekend update sort of thing.
