I find it interesting that, for all of the Thieves sans Akechi and Joker, their persona changes unconsciously and the chains vanish with the second awakening. But for Joker, he actually grabs the chains around Arsene and breaks them, and that triggers his second awakening.
The others are stated to be from a blood oath, a promise they’ll be there for him whenever he needs them. So what was his based on? I’d say it’s symbolism for Joker taking his life into his own hands, but he’d already long since done that. Was it him actively embracing being a trickster?
Black Desert GM note: Rabam’s Insight, skill advancement preview
Skill advancement which has been teased as the second awakening system is implemented as a system called Rabam’s Insight.
Rabam’s Insight combines two primary weapon skills designated as a main skill and secondary skill to make a second awakened skill called Advanced Skill and can be accessed starting from level 56.
The example given in the note is Warrior’s Ground Smash and Ground Roar combined to create Roaring Smash.
Each class will be assigned one main skill and two secondary skills to combine which results in two types of Advanced Skills which differ depending on which secondary skill has been used.
Additional Advanced Skill combinations besides the ones shown in the video are planned to be added in the future.
