She thought it was odd,  he seemed nervous. Not to say the young Icelander wasn't a bit nervous to begin with but over the months they had gotten more comfortable with each other and she had learned his moods. 

The first break through was when they shard an umbrella and he mentioned in passing how once when he was younger he had been locked out of his house in the rain and had hated the hours he spent waiting until his brother showed up. At that point he had been wet to the core and had a grudge against rain storms. It had been a gentle and strong building from there (also she had gotten a habit of always carrying a umbrella and a scarf in her big couch purse whenever she heard rain was coming, lest they be caught without something to keep them warm and dry) 

But now they sat, in a tea cup ride at the local carnival. They were waiting for it to start and he was nervous. This was, a unnatural nervousness. She felt a odd barrier between the two of them that she thought they had put behind them. She couldn't imagine him being afraid of the ride. She tried to figure out just what could he be nervous about. She reviewed the day so far and couldn't think of anything that would have him thinking and over thinking this way. 

"Eva..."

She looks at him. They had both hands placed on the wheel in front of them and his hand gently embraced the nearest one of hers. she wiggles their fingers together and tries to convey her support for him to keep talking. 

"...w..."

"Go on, it's alright I-"

"WILL YOU BE MY BRIDE?"

That's when the spinning started. It's a disorinting effect, but doubly so when someone's just asked you to enter into marriage with them. 

But the answer would have been the same if the question had been asked on a boat, on solid soil, in a airplane or at home. 

How I feel about this character

I'm utterly fascinated about her.

Iceland, Norway, Sweden, Latvia, Feliciano, Romano, Russia, Netherlands, Prussia, Japan, France, America, England and a little bit of Denmark (this could either be played out were he treats her like she hung the stars or as a little sister that he'll fuck up anyone that tries to hurt her, I haven't really figured out this dynamic just yet to know for sure but it's potentially very cute) ROMANIA THANKS TO YOU, CHERRY. GAUWD 

My non-romantic OTP for this character

Austria, Hungary...I kind of see them as her parents. Switzerland (a romantic ship would have to be done very carefully) Baking and Sewing. Germany for some reason I can't stop seeing him as her little cousin but if someone tried a romantic way with this and did it well I could ship it. 

My unpopular opinion about this character

She's not 10 years old. She can still be a loving, sweet, caring and warm, trusting person and be an adult with a older teen/young adult body. She's just not very curvy or voluptuous. 

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon.

Why I like them: 

Why do I like Liech? Well I think it's the central idea that she's kind, giving, polite and thankful. If you think about her in a serious context she's an adult twice over in a body that the average person is going to over look. She's going to be discredited. She's giving and thankful to Switzerland for his help and she probably fears disappointing him. She's a lady. Full of grace. She endures, a small principality in the middle of Europe, she's got staying power, she's got the wits to stay around. All the leaders/important people I've heard from there have used the small nature of the Principality to their advantage. These are her leaders and I do say she'd be smart.

Favorite episode (scene if movie): 

I liked her interaction with Kugelmugel. For a few reasons. The Christmas event I consider good to Liech because we saw her in outfits not the maroon one (or that green uniform) and she interacted with other nations. Her interactions with Kugel is very interesting. When I read this strip it wasn't to me, a meeting of equals. It felt like she was the 'in charge/dominate' one there was a imbalance there that for once she was on top of. During the Christmas event we see her with other nations, this is always a good thing. Because she does have fairly equal footing with them. But she's still a odd ball. Not understanding the slang/laid back speech of Seychelles. They treat her like a equal.

Head canon: Lindsey Stirling is my headcanon body for her. She has a mole on her left hip. I COULD GO ON SINCE I RP HER GUYS. 

Unpopular opinion: 

She should look more like Austria, since they have the connection they do. Also I kind of think she should be more developed, she was designed to fill the moe-cute little sister role so I wonder sometimes what she'd look like if she had been designed to fill a different arch type. People actually seem to age her down at lot in fan art which bothers me. She can still be sweet and caring and kind if she's not ten years old. AND ANOTHER THING. They age down Iceland to be with her. Stop that right now. I guess I just see her as an adult with a not as curvaceous body. 

A wish: 

We see her defend herself, do something to show of her smarts, which I'm sure are there. Maybe even some solo Liech time.
