with everything that was going on, dayeon felt like she deserved a nice break. it’s why she didn’t hesitate to say yes to sebastian’s suggestion that they go out on a mini outing. nothing too extraneous nor time consuming because they’d have to return in time for their next training session, but something relaxing enough that dayeon doesn’t feel like pulling out her hair every five minutes.
she’s picking out what color she wants to paint her mug as she hums before stealing a glance at what he’s made so far. “hey, do you think it’d be too cliche of me to paint my mug yellow?” her brows are furrowed together as she continues to flip the pages of the color booklet she’s been given by the store. she thinks she probably has like two yellow-colored mugs already back in the dorm but another one can’t hurt, right?
it felt so nice that the color of her mug was the only thing on her mind at the moment. not the evaluation nor the stagnant improvement of her skills that dayeon’s been feeling these days. nor the slight envy of seeing some of the girls she had trained with making their debut while she continues to practice day and night. she has enough trust in herself to know that her day will come, but the agony of continuing to wait was also stressful.
“what color and design are you thinking? something simple? or something extravagant? like you know, super wild!”
