I'm just going to leave this here, and hopefully everyone reads it. I'm sick of seeing these "shut down SeaWorld" and "free the whales" posts because that won't solve any problems. That's just a sure death sentence for the animals. And here's something else to think about, why are people so focused on SeaWorld when there are circuses and other so-called zoos that literally tie animals to ropes and then feed them scraps? If you actually do your own research (and not just believe Blackfish because that shouldn't even be called a documentary) you'll see that SeaWorld is the best place for these animals. If you disagree, that's fine. But don't take your anger out on the animals. It's not their fault. I have friends who work at SeaWorld as trainers and as curators, so if you have any questions, please ask me. No, captivity is not the greatest environment, but it's too late to release them now so we might as well use it as an educational tool. My ask box is always open, and I promise to be rational if anyone does decide to come talk about this. The ocean is my passion and I want to share what I know with as many people as I can.
I wish I could pronounce half the killer whales names a SeaWorld
