Stressful - Due to a jam packed last weekend (Zoo!), I didn't finish my HSC planning and had a few late nights trying to catch up. I feel like I'm constantly marking too, because of the schools assessment system (assessments every 2 weeks with 70 students). I'm sure it's beneficial in the long run, but it's making workload extremely high. My year 12s took the piss this week with their constant talking, so I implemented a seating plan and have asked to see folders with the threat of contact home or course removal. I was given the silent treatment for the seating plan and I'll see what folders are like on Monday. I've had a few drop the course too - Psychology is hard if you're not prepared to do any work in your 23 hours of private study... 2 weeks of term left, it's has FLOWN. I have an NQT conference next week, and I'm signed up to a few online trainings and another in London. I've also found time to write another article for the ATP and support a friend who's an NQT in the neighbouring school. Oh, I finally found a way to actually use my Pirongs diary - I haven't been using it to plan lessons at all, but I've now started using it as a daily to-to list. Genius.
