#81: Aardvolt- When thunderstorms roll overhead, you can be assured that hundreds of Aardvolt are playing on the clouds, striking the earth with lightning for fun. They don’t mean to hurt anyone, honest! Aardvolt comes down to the ground after it’s had its fun and the storm has passed. On earth, it lives in groups of two to three in caves and icy regions, its bright blue fur glowing brightly with stored electricity. It can run quickly, but its legs are better equipped for riding and leaping upon storm clouds. If you touch Aardvolt, be prepared to receive a static shock; its fur collects, stores, and conducts electricity very efficiently. With its unsettling red eyes, Aardvolt sees sources of electricity and the path of electricity through wires and other objects. (Name from “aardwolf” and “volt”)
#82: Searkit- Evolves from Aardvolt at level 34. Unlike Aardvolt, Searkit almost never leaves the clouds. Even on the sunniest of days, Searkit will form a tiny white cloud to perch upon. During the dry season, Searkit hibernates until it rains. Its long, flowing tail is made of plasma overflowing with dangerous amounts of electricity, and anyone who touches it receives a nasty shock. Though Searkit cannot fly, it can leap huge distances thanks to its very low weight, powerful legs, and the power of electricity. These leaps allow it to jump between continents within minutes, seeking out rainstorms. It feeds off of lightning strikes, seemingly “licking” them up with a long plasma tongue. If Searkit didn’t exist, it is estimated that lightning would be over ten times more destructive. (Name from “sear”, “kit”, and “circuit”)
