Evie can’t help but stare in awe. An actual tail, an actual real life MERMAID! It’s like a dream, except a good one. She doesn’t dare actually go into the water where Melody is but she has taken off her shoes and is letting the tide come and go around her bare feet.
❝ You do know I can’t swim, right? ❞ She’s sure she’s had to tell that to the Auradon kids about a thousand times by now, they all keep insisting. Ally and Jordan have repeatedly tried to drag her to the beach and she’s had to tell them over and over again that swimming is not her forte. She’s not sure how Melody has even managed to drag her all the way out here but turns out the water does feel kind of n i c e.
