he always saw through the facade that she thought was FLAWLESS. it came with the territory of growing up with each other ; even in that circumstance -- not everyone is blessed with someone as perceptive as peter parker. but even he had his moments. this -- thankfully wasn’t one of them. there is the softest of smiles upon her lips at the embrace and finding it hard not to melt into it. he always gave the best hugs , and it didn’t take long for her to return it. “ not that i’m not enjoying this , but what’s this for ? “ she asked with a playful teasing note in her voice , not breaking the contact. honestly lately her mood had been sinking the past couple of days -- so inwardly she already guessed it -- but wanted to confirm.
