COVID 19 has come and put an accent on the vulnerability of women and particularly women living with disabilities. Despite all the measures put in place to tackle the virus, the number of cases keep on rising. It is clear that we will need to reinvent ourselves and learn how to live with the virus. More emphasis is layed on women and girls, and particularly those who are disabled. How do they cope with the pandemy? How easy or tedious is it for them to respect the basic hygiene measures put in place by the government. How much support are they getting from the society or from family members. All these questions are the reasons why AGUI FOUNDATION organised and convened a mini assembly at the SDG space at Tsinga, under the theme: "LIVING WITH COVID 19" to hear from their mouths, how women with disabilities are coping with the COVID 19 pandemy, and empowered them with knowledge on SDGs and COVID 19 and lifeskills to help them economically empowered and independent especially during this very challenging period of COVID 19. The 2 days assembly saw the visit of other civil society activists who came to show their support and solidarity. The rights and well-being of women living with disabilities has to be a priority particularly during this period where COVID 19 is ravaging the world. #EDUCATION4ALL EMPOWERMENTISTHEKEY #InclusiveCommunities #ChangingLives #CreatingImpact #SDGSpace #AGFO #CENTREDINFORMATIONDESNATIONSUNIES #EMPOWERING_WOMEN_AND_GIRLS https://www.instagram.com/p/CDuH0P7h7ZbCokhJ2pBFXDg7oZRDgxVOTYc5RA0/?igshid=1xplr2ozh5rur
