I remember Roxane talking about how much joy Jacob and Sam have around each other and how they really take care of each other (and everyone around them, she said), and that comes through so much. It feels like they really pay attention to each other and watch out for each other. <3
He genuinely looks SO worried, it eats me up, anon!! They really do seem so in tune though, and Roxane talking about how much they look after each other in her interview with Autumn really is just so lovely. I think a lot too about Rolin saying how much Sam supported Jacob across the last two seasons, and how much Jacob was wanting to return the favour, so I can only imagine what that set's like right now, haha.
