SD&S for the lovely and talented @meishafindingbalance! This morning started out challenging, but then I got a SUPER sweet card from the husband, had some delicious homemade scones and brownies at my volunteer gig for my birthday, and did a yoga video because B didn’t nap at all while volunteering and waited to conk out at home! *praise hands* Now I’m having some leftover orzo salad for lunch–HIGHLY recommend (I use feta instead of parmesan and double the lemon because I like things lemony)! It’s been a rule since we started dating that the husband must fill the entire empty side of my card with his own words on special “card holidays” (anniversaries, birthdays, Mother’s Day, and Valentine’s Day). Words are my “love language.” Words and spending time. I don’t usually want a gift–if I do, I’ll let him know–but I always want a card! It is the BEST thing! He always takes it super seriously and he’s SO GOOD at it. I remember back when we were in college and I found his rough draft for one of my cards in his thermodynamics notebook. *heart eyes for days* I have all of the cards he’s ever given me–going all the way back to the first card he gave me after my car accident when I was 16. They’re absolutely the first thing I would grab in a fire (besides my family, obviously).
