scythe is occasionally asked when he "realized" he was "alterhuman". it is a question that always "confuses" him because he thinks it is obvious that he "realized" he was "alterhuman" when he learned the word, just like he "realized" the colors of his hair and his eyes when he learned the words of the colors as a child.

scythe is many "things". one "thing" that scythe is, is a "creature". this "creature" feels like a "hazy void". a "shadow entity". this "creature" is skittish and paranoid and anxious. decaying and scattering and disintegrating when the "light" reaches it.

it is almost funny how desperate scythe is to do the "right things" and "fit in", no matter what space he is attempting to find a home in. he is worried constantly about being "wrong". saying the wrong things, feeling the wrong things, being the wrong things.

scythe thinks that crow sometimes does not consider that he will not always be the one to do the things he agrees to do. scythe does not understand why he has made these plans regardless, as said plans involve going outside at night and we are afraid of the dark (and someone tends to become rather paranoid at night).
