Since Iām in the process of studying for my HAZMAT finals, Iām probably gonna have a little less time to work on personal projects than Iād like... so...
Introducing:
SCWR Shorts!!
I have a few canonical short stories for SCWRĀ written out that donāt really fit into the story fluidly. I figure that some people might still be interested in them though, so Iāll just post them from time to time. Most of them have to do with side characters or characters who just donāt get a lot of screen time (as of right now), like Checkers or Fynch.
The Short thatās going up today is going to be about Gene Aurum and Lambert Aur! (oh, and, uh, Haddyās there too, I guess)
We wonāt get to see a lot of these two until Volume 2, so I figured that a little flashback before then to flesh out their characters a bit might be helpful!
Oh, and I should probably mention that these SCWR ShortsĀ are going to be Tumblr exclusive! I wonāt be posting them on Wattpad. I donāt really have a reason for this other than Iām lazy thoughĀ š¤·āāļø

Well, thatās what happens when I try to take on college classes, fire academy, and writing the equivalent of a small novel all at once! (ADHD for the win, yāall.)
But, I am almost done with V2, I swear! Iām literally writing the finale as this is being posted. Will I finish it tonight? Almost certainly not-- I have class and havenāt studied (š¬)-- but I will probably start editing within the week or two.
Until then, Iāve finished putting V1 into Tumblr format, and the remaining chapters will get automatically uploaded over the next few days. When theyāre all out, Iāll figure out how to make a pinned post and compile all of them into one!
Itās been a hot minute, sorry! I just thought Iād give some updates on the status of SCWRĀ V2 and other projects/things Iāve been working on since itās been, like, May since I last posted about it (again, sorry!!).Ā
Main Updates:
-Volume 2 is still coming, I swear! When I posted the last Episode of V1 on Wattpad (May 2nd), I was working on Episode 9 of V2. Iām now on Episode 12 of about 15. All of the Character Shorts have been written and edited.
-Iām hoping to get everything written by the end of August and edit later because about half-way through September, Iāll be going through Fire Academy. (As some may know, Iām an EMT. My official job title is EMT/Fire Fighter, however, I donāt have any of my Fire certifications, so to keep my job, Iāll be going through the Academy.)
Some News About V2 Itself:
-V2 takes place over the course of the Vytal Festival and Vytal Festival Tournament. The reason that itās taken so long for me to write is because whereas V1 and V2 have about the same number of fights, several of the fights in V2 are full Episodes instead of quick blows.
-The Character Shorts for V2 are going to be posted throughout the Volume itself and not at the beginning, like I did with V1. These Shorts can be read stand-alone or in addition to the story, and will focus on one character of Team SCWR. They arenāt necessary to the main story, but they do provide helpful background.
-Also, Iām planning on moving all of V1 over here to Tumblr, because... in addition to posting on Wattpad, Iām also going to be posting V2 here!
Other Things:
-Iāve been working on a lovely, little side series... an AU called PLTO. Itās a mini-series that will probably only be 3-4 parts that follows the newly-minted Team Pluto and its members... Yes, Pluto was an ironic name choice and I am very proud of it. I donāt know when Iāll post this series, but the first part is already written. (Iāve been working on this series when I feel burnt out on SCWR.)
-I also have mini, canon Shorts of varying lengths to post! They will follow any variety of characters throughout the series from any time period (Which means that, in theory, we might get to see Team RWBY at some point?? Maybe??). Iāve already written 2 Shorts--Ā āDiamond in the Roughā andĀ āInsecurity within Securityā-- although one takes place during V2 and contains spoilers, so it will not be posted until much later.
