I KNOW LOL ITS SO SAD...tbh ive made my peace w yoohyunie losing- hes up against a crazy popular franchise, even if the chara herself hasnt been released and has barely any dialogue, not even with her own older sibling ^^;; i was joking earlier that if he'd been up against a franchise that wasnt as well known or anticipated, i mightve been able to cheese him past the first round.. but im pretty satisfied with just being able to get him as many votes as i can ^^ itd be nice if we could reach 30% next!!!
Ngl I'm really annoyed that the s class manhwa turned what was pretty much a chill and amicable conversation/light choking session into yj being more wary and dismissive towards stw in the manhwa 🥲 especially by having ksy barge in mid choking
*disclaimer: sorry for being a little hater it should be a crime to make me look at incorrect yj characterization tho*
it seems that the manhwa team has a real propensity for creating knight in shining armor situations— see yerim’s awakening, myungwoo’s shoehorned character development (??) (which im still cranky about), this instance of soyoungie jumping in to (quote unquote) save him. and, well, i understand that they’re raising the stakes, and that the bureaucracy and politics and suchnot might be hard to make interesting in the webtoon form, but they’re doing it at (frequently yoojin’s) characterization’s expense? they’re capable of making changes to the storyline to better suit a manhwa format! ive seen them do it! ch 33 is fantastic! (geunseo had to approve that one, is why, i believe, but i shant get into geunseo’s influence on the manhwa, other than that from what i know they no longer had a hand in the creative direction after the first five or so chs, coincidentally the best chs imo)...
without mentioning the previous ch (which i have my personal gripes about, but was too distracted by uhm, other things to discuss at length), this ch…… really did turn a perfectly civil convo + choking into some sort of altercation……….. first of all with yj being (imo!) just a bit too panicked about it.. and with soyoungie coming to his rescue, it seems as though song taewon wouldn’t have stopped on his own. and that yoojin did think song taewon was originally there to make complaints about yoohyunie… they’ve really dumbed him down (sorry, its true), ahahahha….. its a bit sad, i really love stw and hyj’s dynamic in the novel. i do hope yj’s post-choking hostility doesn’t linger too long in the manhwa.
my sctir character tags are actually so funny. #han yoojin is like 30% gun jokes 30% pregnancy jokes 30% being profoundly sad about the han siblings and his inability to let things go and how much hes lost and 10% catboy posts. #han yoohyun on the other hand gets posts and poetry snippets about love and restraint. #sung hyunjae is at least 90% shitposts about being a twisted fucked up evil gay insane guy with a wife that hates him and whatever. #song taewon is almost entirely posts about tits.
