It strikes me that if one were black or brown or indigenous one would say “this is just another Tuesday in America’.
For those whose civil rights have been subject to reversal the whole time the corruption and imbecility of SCROTUS has been the norm.
The abnormal was what we had between WW2 and the corruption which began with the appointments of Clarence Thomas and the scum who followed.
Example of past corruption and deliberately imbecilic rulings is the same SCROTUS judges who voted on Plessy vs Ferguson (1896 ‘separate but equal’) reversing civil rights for a broad segment of our citizenry ALSO overruled a thousand years of botany & the lower courts by declaring that the tomato fruit was in the USA a vegetable and thus subject to import duties (1893 Nix vs Hedden)
