Dear father,
Grant us the grace, wisdom, humility and courage to remain in YOU and abide in your word in 2023, come what may.
In Jesus Mighty Name we pray, Amen.
What does it mean to rejoice in our sufferings? The bible tells us in Romans 5:3-4 that "suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope." When we go through difficult times in our lives, it can be hard to see the purpose behind our pain. However, the bible tells us that if we endure suffering, it will produce endurance. And if we have endurance, it will produce character. And if we have character, it will produce hope. Hope is what gives us the strength to keep going even when things are tough. So when you are facing a difficult situation, remember that God is using it to produce hope in you. Hope is the light that shines in the darkness, and it will ultimately lead you to a better place.

The Bible speaks volumes on the importance of listening to God's Word. Paul, the Apostle, stated in Romans 10.17, that faith is built on hearing and hearing Christ's Word. Jesus Christ said in John 8.47, "Whoever hears God's words speaks." These scriptures will strengthen faith and inspire spirituality.
Both the Old Testament and New Testament have their roots in oral storytelling traditions. The printing of books is a recent innovation. Most Christians wouldn't have been able access to the holy scriptures if they weren't in church. The verse of today podcast aims to bring back the ancient power and beauty found in the spoken word, but it is also accessible for modern believers.

Daily Bible Verse Podcast
The Bible is full of verses about courage, and each one offers a unique perspective on this important virtue. As Christians, we are called to courageously stand up for our faith, even in the face of opposition. We are also called to be courageous in our relationships, showing love and compassion even when it is difficult. And finally, we are called to be courageous in our daily lives, living out our convictions even when it is easier to compromises. No matter what challenges we face, we can find strength and courage in God's word. So let us not be afraid to boldly proclaim the gospel, reach out to those who are hurting, and live lives that reflect our faith. Instead, let us have the courage to be the light of Christ in a dark world.
1 John 2:15 ESV Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
Today's verse of the day is 1 John 2:15. This verse says, "Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in them." As Christians, we are called to love God above all else. This doesn't mean that we can't enjoy the good things of this world, but our primary focus should be on heavenly things. When our focus is on God, we will be more likely to want to obey Him and follow His will for our lives. We will also be more likely to share His love with others. Let us remember this verse today and make sure that our love for God is always first in our hearts.
