Okay, so can I be blunt for a moment? I might ruffle some feathers with this one, but I'm speaking from the heart & I want to rant for a little bit. I'm not trying to take jabs at anyone, but I'm gonna get real for a sec because this is something that ticks me off.

Sometimes (or if not often times), I can't stand when people are entitled. They always feel like they're owed something. It happens so often. People are too impatient for a new season to drop. People are too impatient for a new chapter of a graphic novel or story. People are too impatient for an audio to come out. People are too impatient for a script to release so they can use it to record an audio. People are just so impatient these days (or well, it's always been that way) & even go out of their way to throw jabs at the creators or be mean to them just for having long release dates. It sounds something like this:

"TWO MONTHS?! Nope! I'll be interested in something else by then." "I paid money for this so you better release it RIGHT NOW!" "Can't you just work on it a little....faster?" "A new video from [Creator Name Here]? In 2025?! What a shock!" "Why are you streaming when you should be working on that audio?" "You must not care for your fans if you're making us wait so long!" "YOU'RE SO DAMN LAZY!!! OH MY GOD!!!"

Look, I'm sorry you can't wait & I'm sorry you have nothing better to do in the meantime, but you are NOT the one working your butt off everyday to get your project completed! THEY ARE!!! There are people constantly out here breaking their backs, exhausting their vocal cords, hurting their hands, going through multiple recorded takes & bloopers, re-writing storylines &/or scenarios, & even tackling IRL stuff all while doing their best to get something posted. I don't even think you understand how stressful or draining it is because some of them are also beating themselves up for not being fast enough or not being good enough to get things done in a faster pace.

We require various roles, but our major priority is animators and Voice Actors. Though we have multiple positions open;

Animation Production Coordinators for individual projects

Character design/concept artists

Background Artist

Sound design/music composing

Storyboard artist/writer

Script writer/editor

Animator/Artist (2D)

Animator/Artist (3D)

You may apply for a specific project or projects, or you can just apply for a general position on the team for one or more of the roles. I will warn you that if you don't specify a project or projects, you will eventually be assigned a project to work on.

Payment will vary and be based on the role you applied for, how much work you do for the project, and the success of the project and its merch sales.

Animators will likely get somewhere between 40%

Other Artists (Character design/concept artists Background Artist, Storyboard artist, etc.) will receive 20% depending on the success of the series.

Script writers/editors will receive 5-10% depending on the word count and the detail of the script

While the music composers will get 10% for songwriting and music composing

Animation Production Coordinators will get 10%

Which means that when the consequences of the writers' strike catch up with the airing schedule, I will feel it. Despite of this, I fully support the strike, and am willing to wait it out rewatching old shows or watching stuff outside my preferred genres, because:

Underpaid worker (in any area of expertise) is unmotivated worker.

Unmotivated worker does a half assed job.

And who likes shows based on half assed scripts?

We're Audball Character Audios! We're a group of fandom creatives who have come together to start our very own Youtube audio channel. We're just starting out but we have big plans for the future.

We are currently looking for script writers that feel comfortable doing both NSFW scripts for our Patreon and SFW Youtube scripts. We're currently looking for writers who are willing to write for anime, video games, and DC fandoms. We plan on expanding our fandom reach in the future, so don't worry!

What you should know before applying:

This is currently an unpaid position. VA's and other staff members are working for free. We do plan on paying all staff members once we are monetized.

If you are writing a commission, you WILL be paid for it. All non-commissioned scripts are currently unpaid.

Script Writer Audition requirements:

Proof of age will be required since you will be asked if you'd like to work on NSFW content.

Writers must send at least 1 or 2 scripts that they have written

Scripts must be from two separate fandoms

Script formatting should look like this or similar

What you can expect once you're a writer with us:

Writers must submit scripts bi-weekly

Commissioned scripts will be paid (Once we are monetized, all scripts will be paid)

Must communicate any changes to availability

All scripts need to be 900 to 1k words minimum (Longer scripts are always appreciated)
