Kaveh had stayed in their shared home, waiting for Alhaitham to return home so he could get some real answers out of him. Not the vagueness and teasing that was their familiar song and dance in the library while the Traveler hovered over their shoulder.

Biting his lip, he glances back at Alhaitham, ❝ What happened ? Why am I hearing all this news from other people. You could have sent a bird and let me know ! You knew exactly what ruin I was staying at. ❞

A jolt as Kaveh pulls his hands closer to his chest, almost as if he was caught doing something he wasn't supposed to. He huffs a lil bit, relaxing when he just sees it's Alhaitham.

" You scared the hell out of me. " The tone accusatory, but in the familar bickering that felt like home to them.

" I'm working on a new project. The client actually wanted Natlan themed architecture, and given that this will be my first time doing something like that, I thought I would do some research. "

A yawn splits his face as he leans back, hoping that the very few books on his desk wouldn't give away the small white lie.
