So I finally finished school and I went and bought the switch and botw any tips
Congrats, love! These are pretty basic and simple tips that I wish someone had told me tbh because the first few days playing it were a pain
Cook your food: it heals a lot more than just eating the apple by itself; Play around with it, add different ingredients to increase the healing effect
For example, adding five vegetables and/or plants to a pot can create a dish that offers full recovery
Cooking things on the pan over the fire will result in dishes that heal more than just throwing the ingredient into the fire itself and roasting it
Simmered fruits and mushroom skewers tend to recover a medium amount of hearts while meat skewers will recover a lot more
Here’s a list of food combinations. I could list you my faves, but this is a lot easier
Break every shining rock you see: you can sell the stones to earn some money
Sell monster parts: it’s an easy way to make money
You can search deactivated Guardians for pieces that can be sold; just be careful because there’s always one that’s still working
Particularly, when I’m selling something, I try to keep at least 10 of said thing in my inventory just in case I run into someone that’s willing to trade, say, rubies for a large quantity of cash
Explore a lot so you can find shrines and get Spirit Orbs to increase your life and stamina
Focus on increasing your life gauge, first
Try to find at least three Great Fairies; there are four in total, but it’s easier to get the 3,500 rupees needed for three of them than the 13,500 total
UPGRADE YOUR CLOTHES. I died so many times in the first boss because I didn’t upgrade anything and literally one hit from it would deplete my life
Look for Koroks in high places, under rocks or complete rock circles to get some seeds to upgrade your weapon/bow/shield stash
You can find some animals and ocasionally gems when you lift rocks as well
If you see a cluster of boulders, it most likely is a Talus
If the music changes to a quick piano intro, run
If you’re airborne and a Guardian is targeting you, wait until the red laser disappears. You can put away the paraglider and quickly equip it back on to avoid getting hit. You’ll get the hang of it once you try it a few times and get used to the time it takes until he fires
Do as many sidequests as you can
I’d say that you should follow the storyline up until thepoint you’re given the blue tunic; you’ll have upgraded some things by then, and the tunic is one of the pieces that offer more protection when upgraded imo
Have fun!!
