Cowpuncher's Brain Buster for MS ft. Napalmpom and Static Shift   Cowpuncher, Napalmpom and The Static Shift are presenting a fundraiser on September 18 at Festival Hall to raise awareness and research funds for the MS Society. Cowpuncher’s art director and long time supporter Geoffrey Hanson was recently diagnosed with MS. Calgarian Geoffrey Hanson has quietly been the hands behind album designs for luminaries such as Robert Plant, Alabama Shakes, Kings of Leon and many others. Multiple sclerosis (MS) is an autoimmune disease of the central nervous system (brain, spinal cord), which attacks myelin, the protective covering of the nerves, causing inflammation and often damaging the myelin. It can cause symptoms such as extreme fatigue, lack of coordination, weakness, tingling, impaired sensation, vision problems, bladder problems, cognitive impairment and mood changes. Formed in 2010, Cowpuncher recently completed work on their 4th album 'Hustle', which will be released in 2016. Along with eleven other Alberta bands, Cowpuncher has been selected for the Peak Performance Project, competing for a top prize of $100,000. http://www.wepunchcows.com/ Napalmpom is another recipient of Geoffrey Hanson’s design talents on their album 'The Unconditional Love Of Napalmpom.'
