Some screencaps from the bit in episode 10 where Shabranigdu talks about being reborn before. And some thoughts!
1)This is preceded by him explaining how mazoku gain power from negative human emotions and in general his phrasing ("For thousands of years have I existed within the blood of men.") kind of presents Shabranigdu thus:
...Which feels a little different from how the whole situation with Shabranigdu being fragmented and sealed away within the souls of specific humans is presented later on and in fandom, where the metaphor is treated a lot thinner.
2) Pretty much all but one of those preincarnations is dressed in priesty looking clothes! The first guy they show in that montage is even wearing an outfit I'm like 90% sure I've seen random Seyruunian extras wearing. If these guys are preincarnations of Rezo specifically it suggests he has some very strong tendencies career-wise across his lives.
3) Shabranigdu's phrasing of "At last I found this man" makes it sound like he picks vessels deliberately, which I think is also a concept I haven't seen explored much in fandom. His explanation that Rezo has a body that is "suitable" is very weird. I'm guessing that it has to do with Rezo just having a high magic pool capacity or some such- in EVO-R Rezo mentions having a similar reason for picking Posel's body specifically as a future vessel.
