Climbing at Tremadog today with Jez. We did Scratch Arête which was at Craig Pant Ifan on Peuterey Buttress. Jez led the first pitch and I led the second both HVS. Although the second pitch gets the higher grade of climbing because of the pull over the overhang it had pretty big jugs to pull onto and with good gear and some bravery it felt to me much easier than the first pitch. The first pitch seemed much more 3D with a hard move right out of the corner groove and then over the bulge to finish to the tree belay. Then I led Grim Wall Direct both pitches at E1. The first crack in the first pitch was enjoyable and the overhang after that is much easier than it looks. The second pitch felt easier than the first although both graded at 5b with some positive gear placements in the big crack and nothing too burly to pull over. Lastly Jez led Gwaed and just did the first pitch. It was only graded at a 5b but I thought the climbing was pretty bold and 3D with gear placements tricky to find when reaching the bulge an overhang and also hard to place when in such a steep position. I found it hard and I was on second only taking gear out with ease so I wouldn't have wanted to lead it
