The reason Viola has to wear those weird baggy pants is because they are made to be restrictive. Y’know those people who tie a stick to a dogs collar so they can’t just bolt off so easily? That’s basically what her pants do since they block her arms and legs from being able to safely cross if she were to try and run a way she feels most comfortable.
Basically she hates running upright since she always ends up feeling like she’s about to topple over.

Ik I basically boil viola down to one thing when I do draw her... That's cuz I absolutely suck ass at drawing her any other way.
She has more to her than goofy ahh creature I swear, she's got more to her character than that, it's just that's the only part I draw.
Every few years viola sheds her tusks, this means her permanent smile gets a break for at least two months and when she's medicated this is what she ends up looking like
