There was no doubt about the fact that Hope Yaxley was the most organized student at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Since her transfer from Beauxbatons Academie de la Magique to study for her N.E.W.Ts in England, she had practically transformed the society events at the school. Highly intelligent, charming and manipulative – it hadn’t been long before she had crawled her way to the top of the organizational committees and managed to throw some of the most successful events the school had ever seen. She was smug about it, but didn’t she have the right to be? She had high standards – a complete and utter perfectionist, it was like she had the Midas touch; and she often felt as if any individual who got the opportunity to work with her was highly privileged.
She had not chosen the girl who was to work with her on this occasion, but she trusted her Uncle’s judgement. Nathaniel Yaxley was the Professor of Astrology at the castle, and he had asked her to take this girl under her wing at least for a while. Apparently she had been in a psychiatric hospital, the same one as her Aunt, but she was finally due to return back to the castle today. She found it more than a striking bit odd that Nathaniel even cared in the slightest as to how this girl dealt with coming back to school but she said yes anyway. Hope could never deny her Uncles anything that they wanted – they had authority over her, and anyway she could do with a hand. The days were drawing out, and Hope was planning on repeating the wonderful success which had been the Easter Ball she had thrown last year. It took hard work and careful planning however, and she hoped that this Scout Banning could meet her expectations. If she did, then there was nothing to worry about and they would soon become friendly. If she didn’t? Well, let’s just say that Hope Yaxley wasn’t the kindest of individuals once angry.
Nathaniel had arranged for the girls to meet in one of the empty classrooms which was sometimes used for Astrology lessons. Hope sat on top of the desk lazily, her thick waves of brunette hair pinned to the side and an almost smug look on her face – the same look she always had when she was starting to feel a plan coming together. Her eyes looked towards the clock hanging on the wall – 4pm it said. Scout would be here within minutes, and Hope was actually feeling strangely excited. This was something normal for her, and normality was definitely something she had been craving lately.
